Another Stampin' Up Workshop

I had my 2nd Stampin' Up Workshop last night. First one to do 'solo'...without my upline (Jan Farring) there to help me out!! I was not as organized as I would've liked to have been, but it went well!! Thanks to Michelle Bracey for coming over (all the way from Eugene)!! She was a big help getting all of the card stock cut! Thanks, Michelle!!! Two nights before the workshop, I thought there would only be about 4 people there...which was kinda disappointing, but there ended up being 8, which is just about perfect!!! And the exciting part of the 8 people being there, was that 5 of them were brand new to Stampin' Up!! Yay!! So, knowing that most of the people coming were either brand new or fairly new to stamping, I kept all 3 cards pretty simple...but their creative juices started flowing by the time we got to the last card, and nearly all of them turned out a little different than the one I had made! Good job, ladies!! The funny thing about the cards I made is that when I got to the third (and final) card, I realized that I hadn't used any of the paper from the Stampin' Up paper packs that I had ordered specifically for that workshop!! BUT, we did make good use of the new 'In Colors', and some of the new stamp sets from the new 2011-2012 catalog, so that made up for not using any of the new paper! Ha! Also, I sold ALL of my 2011-2012 catalogs (except one for myself). So...more catalogs are on their way!! If you'd like one, please let me know. The cost is $5.00....or host a workshop, and get one for FREE!! :) Here are the cards we made...
'In Colors' used on this card...Calpyso Coral, Pool Party, and Island Indigo. Stamp sets are Delicate Doilies, and (retired) Perfect Pairs, for the words.
'In Colors' used: Lucky Limeade, and Calypso Coral. The writing is from the new Swirls and Curles Verses hostess set, flower stems from the (retired) Bold Blossom set, flowers from the (retired) Punch Potpourri set, and flowers punched using the Boho Blossoms punch. Basic Pearls in the center of each flower.
'In Color' used: Wisteria Wonder. Also, used the new Lace Ribbon Border punch (LOVE THIS). The 'Thinking of you" stamp is from the new Swirls and Curls Verses hostess set, Butterfly and verse from the Flight of the Butterfly set, and punched with the Butterfly punch. Basic pearls on the butterfly, and the Wisteria Wonder card stock is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for the Sizzix Big Shot.

GIRLS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man...us gals had SO much fun spending the weekend together!! The 4 ladies that came (Karen Varcoe, her daughter Megan, Julia Cary, and Joann Smith) got here last Friday at about 5:30. We had Golda Condron, and Pat Richardson over for dinner and games that night, as well. We all stayed up late...but Julia and I stayed up chit-chatting until 2:00 am!! Saturday morning, we all slept in...and finally had breakfast at 11:30!!!!! After breakfast, we headed into Bend for some mini-golf and go-karts, at Sun Mountain Fun Center!! We laughed...and laughed...and had SO much fun!! We left there and headed into downtown Bend to the Old Mill District, to eat dinner along the Deschutes River at Red Robin. After we ate, we headed back into downtown Bend and saw a big street fair of some sort, so we found a parking place, hopped out, walked over, and then realized that it was the Bite of Bend.....all food! So we left there, and went over to the new 'self-service' frozen yogurt place across the street. It was DELICIOUS!! About 12-16 different kinds of frozen yogurt that you help yourself to...add your own toppings...then pay by the weight. FUN!! We headed home after that for another late night of game-playing!
On Sunday, we all headed to Ralph and Jeanie Holtby's house for Sunday Morning Meeting. We had 11 visitors that day. It was very nice...everyone hung around afterwards for quite a while, so we got a great group shot! Unfortunately, my camera battery died right when I took the shot, so I don't have a copy of it yet to put on here, but I will put up a picture of all the young people that were there. It was a very sweet meeting! After meeting, we headed home for some lunch, and an afternoon game of croquet, and badminton. If you're on Facebook (who isn't...except for YOU, COLEEN VARCO)...you can see all of my pictures from the weekend. We had a GREAT time...and have already planned our next time together...in August, to float down the Deschutes River!! :)
Today, we're looking forward to Kathy Hill coming for dinner, since she's in town, and then on Friday the boys will be back for another week (yay, yippee, hooray!!!!!!!!!!). Carol's daughter Cherilyn, and her hubby Ben, and their 'daughter' McKenzie are going to come stay with us for a couple of days over the 4th of July too...so we're having a great summer...and it's only going to get better!!!! Hope you all can say the same!!

First Workshop, comin' right up!!

Today I scheduled my very first Stampin' Up workshop, since I've become a demonstrator. OK, so it's my roomie that's hosting it for me, but HEY...gotta get the ball rolling somehow! We've decided that we will invite mostly people who have not been to a SU workshop in a long time, or people who don't currently have a SU demonstrator! I'm getting anxious to add some names to my customer list!! (And if YOU would like to come to the workshop, we'd LOVE to have you...Tuesday, June2nd, at 6:30).
If any of you out there would like to order anything, and you don't already have a demonstrator, please keep me in mind!! I would be happy to order for you, or you can order from the SU website. Also, if any of you need a catalog, please let me know! I have some on hand that I would like to sell before the new catalog comes out in July. REMEMBER....even though the new catalog is coming out, the current catalog is very handy also, as an idea book.
In other news....got my truck fixed today...getting the mower fixed today...and got lots of yard work done, which is SUPER exciting!! So nice to be able to put on the capris and flip-flops and get my fingers in the dirt!! Summer really is coming soon...I hope!!

Stampin' Up...

I've finally done it...today I became a Stampin' Up demonstrator....with the BEST Upline anyone could have...Jan Farring! I've already got ideas flowing through my mind, and have even made a thank you gift for my first hostess...whoever that may be!! Want to plan a card party?? Want to have it at your house? My house? It's a good way to get loads of free stuff from Stampin' Up!! Call me, Facebook me, text me, email me, or send  smoke signals, if you are interested in hosting a card party!!
